Golf isn't like the other ball sports. It doesn't have an established playing area. It is hard to adjust to the various terrains of every course. It is generally nine holes or 18 holes on the course. Each hole is equipped with cups that hold the ball. Teeing areas are used to start a hole and a cup is used to hold the cup. There are a variety of terrain that lie between the green and the tee, such as the fairway and rough (high grass) and other hazards such as the bunters that are sand-filled. Each hole on the golf course is distinctive. It can be played in match play or stroke play. Stroke play, particularly well-liked by elite players is the most popular form of play.
