Courteney Cox

Courteney Cox is the American actor, director, and producer. She is best known for her role in the TV show "Friends," and for her role in her main characters in the movie series 'Scream. Her birthplace was in Birmingham, Alabama and developed an interest in acting when she was an early child. She was enrolled in the study of architecture at Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC; however, she decided to leave her studies to pursue an acting profession. The actress made her film debut with a role in the film 'Down Twisted'. She started gaining recognition after she played one of the important parts in the horror slasher film "Scream". It was extremely popular commercially and made 11 times the budget. The film was also praised by film's critics. She reprised her role in all the three sequels from the original film. Her popularity reached new heights after she played a main role in the cult sitcom "Friends". She received several awards and nominations for her performances. The show and its huge success, aired for ten years. Some of her most recent roles include a part in the film drama "Mothers and Daughters'. A few of the accolades won by her include those of the TV Guide Award as a result of her performance in 'Friends' and the Golden Derby Award for her performance in the TV show 'Cougar Town'.
