Mary McCormack was an American actress best known for her role as the main character in TV programs like "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. In addition to her TV performances, she has been known for films like Private Parts, Deep Impact,?True Crime? and?"1408". Her parents were a therapist and an ice cream parlor owner, McCormack hails from a family that has no connection to the entertainment field. In the wake of separation from her parents, she went to Trinity College Hartford, Connecticut. After finishing her studies at Wardlaw-Hartridge School with a BA in English, she was awarded a degree. In the age of twelve, she began her acting career in a production of the Christmas opera "Amahl And The Night Visitor". McCormack continued to perform at the theater before landing a role both on the small screen as well as the big screen. McCormack nowadays is recognized for one of the best known and most versatile performers. McCormack has three daughters along together with her husband, director/producer Michael Morris.
